The Arts Intel Report

Online Collection

Mar 12, 2020 – Sept 20, 2021

Seventy exhibitions, including a recent show by David Wojnarowicz, a 2017 show with Franz Erhard Walther, and others on Picasso and William Kentridge, are offered here in video format. The museum’s experts and curators take viewers through the exhibits step-by-step, unveiling darker mysteries as well as context. Included is a video about the restoration of Un mundo (A World), a huge painting of cosmic surrealism created in 1929 by a 17-year-old girl, the artist Ángeles Santo. With almost prophectic sci-fi vision she sees the world as a Borg-like cube floating in an outer space of swooping stairs and strange seraphim. It’s a wonderful introduction to a little-known artist.
