Though NOMAD only landed in Saint Moritz in 2018, the art fair is already a seasonal staple in the Engadine area. Founders Giorgio Pace and Nicolas Bellavance-Lecompte hit on a winning signature when they decided to trade cold convention centers for historical spots that resemble homes. They call this “the future of fairs,” where world-class furniture and art on display are seamlessly blended into, say, a villa in Capri or Monte Carlo, an Art Nouveau hotel in Saint Moritz. For this edition, the organizers have chosen the former Eden Hotel, which overlooks the Palace Hotel. The charming wood-and-stone house has high ceilings and carpeted floors. Among the countless worthy artists to look out for—Swiss artist Rolf Sachs, for instance—there’s also Studio Biljani’s collaboration with Loro Piana, a first for the design studio. —Elena Clavarino
