The Swedish artistic duo Nathalie Djurberg and Hans Berg visualize Freudian fairy tales. Working as a team, they pair ethereal video installations with adventurous sculptures, often showing them with flowers and props. The pair was involved romantically for 15 years, but last year they cut that cord. “Since the breakup, our way of working has become cleaner,” Berg told Cultured in 2021. “We talk every day, perhaps more than before.” This exhibition, the duo’s first in Shanghai, invades the gallery with 14 new sculptures and a carpet of flowers. —Elena Clavarino
