Her imperious beauty. Her notorious sass. Her instantly recognizable runway strut. The storied career of Naomi Campbell, one of the most successful models of all time, is the subject of the V&A’s newest exhibition. Curated in collaboration with the woman herself, more than 100 ensembles are presented alongside iconic magazine covers and a biographical section that tracks Campbell’s rise to stardom, which began in adolescence. Archival pieces from designers Thierry Mugler, Vivienne Westwood, Valentino, and many others provide historical pulse points. And Campbell’s cheekiness is on display in a Dolce & Gabbana gown worn on her final day of community service—the price she paid for throwing a cell phone at her maid. —Lucy Horowitz
