In each of his films, Wes Anderson takes us into an alternate, often dreamlike world concocted in his imagination. Those worlds are buoyed by distinctive soundtracks, a careful alchemy of rediscovered hits and original compositions created by Mark Mothersbaugh and Alexandre Desplat. Their work with Anderson is onstage for two nights in Los Angeles, when the Hollywood Bowl presents the filmmaker’s stylized reality through sound. Mothersbaugh, Beck, the Los Angeles Philharmonic, and many more are performing. Get your tickets. Bill Murray might even make an appearance. —Jeanne Malle
