The actor and playwright Arinzé Kene has portrayed a wide range of people, from Bob Marley in the musical Get Up Stand Up! to Biff Loman in Arthur Miller’s Death of a Salesman. In Kene’s one-man show Misty, which had its world premiere in London in 2018, he’s playing a character more like himself. Blending live music, poetry, and comedy, the show tells the story of a young Black artist navigating a rapidly gentrifying London. The Shed hosts Misty’s long-anticipated U.S. premiere. —Jensen Davis
