Last year the Lee Miller Archives went through 3,500 negatives of Miller’s fashion photography, images for British Vogue that were taken in the early years of W.W. II. Miller lived from 1907 to 1977. She was a Condé Nast model, a muse to Man Ray, a Surrealist photographer, a war correspondent, a gourmet cook. In short, she was extraordinary. The extent of Miller’s work for British Vogue was unknown until now, and is the subject of this exhibition. —L.J.
