Vaslav Nijinsky, Serge Lifar, Svetlana Zakharova, Irina Dvorovenko, Sergei Polunin—Ukrainian dancers have been lighting up the ballet stage for over a century. With Russia’s cruel and gratuitous attack on Ukraine still raging, it’s time to wrap oneself in blue and yellow for an evening with the Kyiv City Ballet. The company travels the U.S. through October 26, and will be in Chattanooga for three days, performing Swan Lake (October 5), a mixed bill (October 6), and a newly commissioned program, “Tribute to Peace,” with the Chattanooga Ballet (October 7). —Laura Jacobs
