Jana Euler’s series, “Great White Fear,” disrupted the world of figurative painting when it debuted last year. Depicting large sharks vertically—and phallically—erupting from the water’s surface, the acrylic paintings revealed Euler’s wittier side, not to mention her willingness to get in the viewer’s face. On the heels of that exhibition, Euler focuses on site-specific sculptures and paintings, pieces that speak to the cast-iron architecture of the newly constructed Artists Space. —C.J.F.
