Besides having designed some of the most inventive and deeply American fashions of the 20th century, Isaac Mizrahi is also a man of the stage. He’s designed costumes for plays, dance, and opera, has starred in cabaret and a one-man show Off Broadway, and has made guest appearances in a number of television shows, most recently in the Prime series Étoile. He also has a role in the Timothée Chalamet film Marty Supreme. Mizrahi is an ebullient and witty raconteur, and now he’s back at the Café Carlyle, Manhattan’s fabled supper club, for his 10th-anniversary season of song and cultural comment. The six-piece band is led by Ben Waltzer. —Laura Jacobs
