If you are one of the many people who are currently sheltering in place, you may be a little tired of interiors. But this virtual exhibition, which features works from the High Museum’s esteemed furniture collection, may inspire a newfound appreciation for the indoors. Chaises, tables, stools, and the like come from across the globe and are representative of furniture’s cutting edge as well as its most traditional methods, sometimes both at once. An armchair, for instance, using computer software that was developed for car manufacturing, takes its design from the growth patterns of bones and trees. The result, made from marble resin and porcelain, is smoothly skeletal. Another weird favorite? A jade rocking chair, shaped like a chicken. —C.J.F.
