George Condo came to painting with a background in art history and music theory. The barreling energy of his work pulls signs and symbols, the past and the perverse, into paintings that can be seen as portraiture. Opening three days before the beginning of the summer, this exhibition on the small Greek isle of Hydra presents quintessential Condo.
