The lake surrounding the Garbicz festival was formed by a Polish glacier, but floating in the middle is Moos Loos, a buoyant dance floor. Tolkienesque trees, hundreds of years old, guard the grounds. This four-day festival celebrates nature, wellness, diversity, and, of course, dancing. Bring a tent for camping out, but leave your plastics at home and your cosmetics on shore—even sunscreen will taint the crystal-clear waters. The founders of this festival are as serious about the environment as they are about partying. —C.J.F.
