Re-opening for the first time since March 2020, when the pandemic shuttered New York City movie theaters, the beloved Chinatown theater begins screenings—along with service at its restaurant and bar—on October 1. Metrograph welcomes back moviegoers with “Eastwood x 4,” a selection of films directed by Clint Eastwood. Highlighting “the tender Eastwood” is Breezy, his 1973 romantic drama about a divorced real-estate agent. In Sudden Impact, his 1983 action film, Eastwood stars as a cop investigating a string of murders. White Hunter Black Heart is a 1990 film about a movie director who travels to Africa and kills elephants. And A Perfect World is a 1993 drama about an escaped convict who takes a young boy hostage. —J.D.
