The French artist Dominique Gonzalez-Foerster has long been a science fiction buff. Using video projection and photography, she creates immersive spatial environments. Fourteen years ago, in 2008, Gonzalez-Foerster took over the Tate Modern’s Turbine Hall, where she reimagined London 50 years into the future—it was a city drenched in constant rain.
