Creatures that crawl! Some (most?) people are terrified of long hairy legs, green tails, and forked tongues. There are those, however, who find tiny spiked feet and an iridescent carapace a source of fascination and charm. This exhibition looks at humanity’s relationship with reptiles, insects, and spiders. The show includes paintings by Albrecht Dürer, Wenzel Jamnitzer, Jan van Kessel, and Maria Sybilla Merian, along with groundbreaking scientific diagrams, religious drawings, and much more. —Elena Clavarino
