Saint Ephrem Church, on Rue des Carmes in the historic Latin Quarter of Paris, is also called Église Saint-Éphrem-le-Syriaque. Built in 1733, the small church has an imposing arched entrance braced between two Corinthian columns. Inside, the chancel is screened by a Syrian divider of inlaid wood, which boasts three gorgeous multifoil arches. This is the backdrop for the concerts that are regularly offered at Saint Ephrem, known for its superb acoustics.
