In 1874, the first exhibition of Impressionist paintings was held at 35 Boulevard des Capucines, in the former Paris studio of the photographer Gaspard-Félix Tournachon (otherwise known as Nadar). In celebration of the movement’s 150th anniversary, and with loans from Paris’s Musée de l’Orangerie and Musée d’Orsay, this exhibition in Milan presents works by Paul Cézanne and Pierre-Auguste Renoir side by side. —Elena Clavarino
