The late E. O. Wilson, a biologist and naturalist, was known for his work on ants and their sophisticated societies, which led him to creates the field of sociobiology. He also introduced the term biophilia, which describes man’s “urge to affiliate with other forms of life.” The more than 80 works in this exhibition—which takes its title from Wilson—all highlight the transformative powers inherent in nature. Expect to see architectural models and photographs, objects, fashion, and digital installations from an international roster of designers and artists such as Iris van Herpen, Studio Gang, teamLab, Joris Laarman, and DRIFT. —Laura Jacobs
