A sort of Iberian Ahmad Jamal, pianist Albert Marquès spins out a spare, almost minimalist La Mancha of rhythmic and melodic cells that fairly begs for invasion by a maximalist drummer like Ari Hoenig—who, with his mad, off-kilter deftness, could be swept up by windmills and land on his feet. —E.E.
