Heaven knows, anything goes, but right now, the world could use a bit of levity. Kathleen Porter’s production of Cole Porter’s rollicking Depression-era romp, based on the original 1934 book co-written by P. G. Wodehouse, is back onstage in a decidedly different landscape. The joyous production, whose all-star cast is led by Broadway royalty Sutton Foster in her West-End debut, could not have come at a better time. —J.V.
