“Now I am ready to tell how bodies are changed into different bodies,” writes the poet Ovid in Metamorphoses. In Tulum, once home to a Mayan walled city whose ruins remain today, three female artists—working together for the first time—take up themes of creation and evolution with “Alchemistry.” The exhibition takes over the entire gallery, where works of carved stone and heated metals speak to the flux of form. —J.V.
