Nars: Notorious Mascara

François Nars made a business out of being naughty, starting with Orgasm blush, a powder so popular, it became a full collection of makeup for cheeks, lips, and eyes. Now Nars is introducing a mascara called Notorious, not to be confused with “famous” (even though everyone does). Notorious lashes are, let’s assume, so thick, long, and full, they could get you into trouble. There are worse things. What Nars Notorious won’t do is flake, smudge, or clump. That’s the good kind of bad. ($28, narscosmetics.com)

Funner Hair Care

We know plenty of nepo babies in acting and music, but they’re less common in the beauty business. Jonah Kaner—son of Daniel, co-founder of Oribe Hair Care, and Sonia Kashuk, the beloved makeup artist—has just entered the hair-care world with Funner. It aims to give a dose of happiness to your hair routine. The packaging lives up to the name, with curvy bottles in recycled plastic that hold sulfate- , paraben-, and silicone-free formulas. Those formulas were developed with stylists in the salon rather than purely in a lab, and they focus on humidity, heat, color protection, scalp health, and styling. The most fun part of Funner is its scent: a citrusy cedar blend that may be as addictive as its ancestor. (Starting at $42, shopfunner.com)
