Henry Rose: Ripe

Michelle Pfeiffer hasn’t exactly been lazing around lately. She stars in the new Taylor Sheridan series for Paramount+, The Madison, appears in the upcoming Apple TV show, Margo’s Got Money Troubles, and adds a new fragrance to her Henry Rose collection. The latter is a sunny, lush, fruit-and-flower scent called Ripe. It layers lychee and watermelon with peony, jasmine, and a touch of spice, then brings it all down to earth with creamy sandalwood and musk. Pfeiffer—who often wears fragrance to get into character—created the Henry Rose collection seven years ago when she wanted a scent that adhered to the standards of the Environmental Working Group. She managed to do that and deliver a delicious blend. ($120; henryrose.com)

La Prairie: Cashmere Body Cream

Sure, someone might accuse you of extravagance for lacquering your legs with a $305 body cream. But it’s not a private plane, a yacht in the Mediterranean, or a suite at the Royal Mansion at Atlantis the Royal, in Dubai, for approximately $100,000 a night. Besides, are you hurting anyone? No. You are just treating yourself to a moment of innocent luxury before the day begins and its inevitable stress hits. La Prairie’s Cashmere Body Cream has a floral-musk scent and soft, cushiony texture that leaves behind a gorgeous veil of moisture. It’s about as far from Gold Bond as you can get, and sometimes that’s just what you need. ($305; bloomingdales.com)
