Merit Signature Lip Blush

I once helped create a makeup line called Flesh that had an irresistibly blurry lip palette. It made you look as if you’d been making out all night in a dark corner of a club. Flesh is no longer with us (R.I.P.), but Merit’s Signature Lip Blush is here to satisfy that craving for a soft, imperfect, smudgy lip color. Merit’s Lip Blush comes in eight sheer, matte shades that look as if they bloomed naturally on your lips. And they feel like nothing more than a veil of moisture. They’re soft and appealing and unlike the usual matte lipstick. Slip one on and make out with someone. ($28, meritbeauty.com)

Zegna Memorie

If you’re a man who cares about elegance, then your closet probably holds at least one Zegna jacket. And it’s probably the one you grab whenever you want to look dapper. The same goes for their fragrances, which now number 60. Their latest collection, called Memorie, draws on Ermenegildo Zegna’s personal history, as interpreted by some of today’s leading perfumers, including Dominique Ropion, Fabrice Pellegrin, and Quentin Bisch. One scent is inspired by the ink Zegna used to draw his designs, others by the wool, the alpine landscapes, the forest and leaves, the pine trees, a roaring fire, and the coziness of family—with six scents in all. A video directed by Roman Coppola shows the suave Mads Mikkelsen taking us down Zegna’s memory lane. It’s a highly elegant trip. ($349 each, zegna.com)
