Sarah Andelman is a retail révolutionnaire. The founder and former creative director of the Paris concept store Colette was known for always being in the know. Comment? Probably for introducing generations of shoppers to emerging designers, cult beauty brands, limited-edition sneakers, and countless other under-the-radar treasures. Shopping with a side of cultural cachet, anyone? Though the Rue Saint-Honoré boutique closed its doors in 2017, its influence continues to ripple through the industry. And today, through her creative agency, Just an Idea, Andelman remains one of fashion’s sharpest eyes—and, unsurprisingly, one of Paris’s best guides (see below). Just in time for our shopping issue, Andelman sits in DRESS CODE’s Haute Seat.
