Perhaps the fact that the name “Sartori” sits just two letters away from the word “sartorial” is less coincidence than destiny. Born in Trivero to a seamstress mother, Alessandro Sartori was immersed in the art of sewing and alterations long before ascending the ranks at Italian luxury brand Zegna—from men’s-wear designer fresh out of design school to the house’s current artistic director (bravissimo!). Now the Milan-based creative is trading the Duomo for the Hollywood sign as Zegna boldly forgoes its customary opening slot at Milan Fashion Week in favor of a Summer 2027 runway show on Malibu Pier in Los Angeles. Before taking his bow by the Pacific, Sartori sits in DRESS CODE’s Haute Seat.
