Some collaborations make sense on paper. This one makes sense in your closet. British designer Paul Smith and Uruguayan designer Gabriela Hearst have joined forces for a limited-edition, 14-piece collection that merges Smith’s playful tailoring with Hearst’s refined, sustainability-minded craftsmanship. Inspired by archival landscape photographs taken by Smith’s father, the collection transforms mountain and waterfall imagery into painterly prints across knitwear, dresses, and accessories—revealing how two distinct creative worlds can seamlessly coexist. Rooted in friendship (their five-year-long pen-pal correspondence is proof), and a shared reverence for heritage and nature, the collection balances Smith’s British eccentricity with Hearst’s elevated, artisanal approach. To celebrate the launch, fashion’s favorite odd couple sits in DRESS CODE’s Haute Seat.

Gabriela Hearst: “Margarita with mezcal—two of them, to be exact. One is not enough. Three are too many.”
