Marie-Amélie Sauvé has spent three decades shaping fashion from behind the scenes. The Parisian stylist and creative first made her mark at Vogue Paris before beginning a partnership with Nicolas Ghesquière in 1997—initially at Balenciaga and, for the past 13 years, at Louis Vuitton—that has produced some of fashion’s most influential images and collections. Along the way, she served as fashion director of T, launched her own if-you-know-you-know biannual publication, Mastermind, and collaborated with many of the industry’s greatest photographers. Now, just in time for the release of a new coffee-table book, The World to Come: Visions of an Image Maker, which looks back on her 30-year career, Sauvé sits in Dress Code’s Haute Seat.
