Brooke Garber Neidich knows a thing or two about making a statement. As the owner and creative force behind Sidney Garber, the storied jewelry house founded by her father in 1946, she has made a name for herself with sculptural gold cuffs, bold chains, and jewelry that’s as effortless as it is unmistakable. Better yet, she donates all her profits to charity. (Did we mention good taste runs in the family? Her son, Jon Neidich, is the hospitality impresario behind some of New York’s favorite late-night haunts.) Now the jewelry designer and philanthropist takes a turn in Dress Code’s Haute Seat.
First impression: A warm smile.
Watch: I love watches. A dear friend gave me a vintage white-gold Cartier Baignoire Allongée six years ago. And last year, my son, Jon, gave me one in yellow gold.
Sunglasses: Celine Triomphe in black. Purdy removes the arms with the gold CC’s and replaces them with plain black.
Pajamas: Long silk nightgowns. I originally bought them at Bonne Nuit in East Hampton, but now Lorna Dreher, the owner, orders them for me. She calls them “the Brooke gown.”
Workout outfit: Lululemon pants that are loose and come in at the ankles that they don’t make anymore.
