Taverna Levitha

An early morning at Taverna Levitha.

Λέβιθα 855 00, Greece

Levitha, a three-hour sail southwest of Patmos, is home to just one family, the Kampososes, who have lived on the island for seven generations. Climb to the hilltop taverna for goat, homemade fig jam, and an omelette made with eggs from the family’s chickens, where the walls are lined with 2,000-year-old amphora fragments regularly fished from the surrounding sea.
