Streaming on History

Hollywood’s most prolific World War II chronicler is back, this time with a 20-part docuseries for the History Channel created in collaboration with the National WWII Museum, in New Orleans. Relying on abundant archival footage, the series covers every major theater of war and analyzes pivotal moments. In Season One those moments include the Blitz, Operation Barbarossa, and Pearl Harbor. Tom Hanks serves as the show’s narrator and executive producer, alongside the Pulitzer-winning biographer Jon Meacham. —Paulina Prosnitz
