“I lost half a day of skiing,” Gwyneth Paltrow complained during the trial that followed a 2016 ski collision in Utah. No one could get enough of the case, brought by a retired doctor named Terry Sanderson, who alleged that Paltrow crashed into him. Which of the two was worse? The spoiled celebrity or the bitter plaintiff? A year later, it appears that there is still more to say about the live-streamed event—at least according to the two new stage productions at this year’s Edinburgh Festival Fringe. One of them, I Wish You Well: The Gwyneth Paltrow Ski-Trial Musical, matches the absurdity of the situation with humor, drama, and surprise alliances. Twerking, glitter, and catwalks are complemented by excellent performances, particularly from Diana Vickers, who plays Paltrow. —Jeanne Malle
