Tim Burton’s visionary sketches are more than enough to draw a diverse audience into his deeply stylized world. But there’s so much more, and it’s all here! Burton’s work came to Prague 10 years ago, in 2014, in the exhibition “Tim Burton and his World.” His work has now returned to Prague in an exhibition aptly titled “The Return.” It presents over 530 pieces: storyboards, sketches, scene designs, puppets, and stills from Burton’s celebrated films, many of which have become classics. Burton forms an intricate connection between childhood innocence and the darker side of human existence, a poetry that makes his work so unusual and intriguing. Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice!
