From the personal collection of the shoe designer Stuart Weitzman come three rarities in the stamp-and-coin repertoire: a 1993 Double Eagle coin, the only one legally sanctioned by the U.S. government for private ownership, which set a world record when it last sold at auction in 2002 (it’s estimated to sell for $10 to $15 million at Sotheby’s); a British Guiana One-Cent Magenta stamp, the only surviving example and currently the most valuable stamp in the world (also estimated to sell for $10 to $15 million); and an Inverted Jenny Plate Block, the most sought-after American stamp ($5 to $7 million). All three are on public view by appointment ahead of the live auction. —J.V.
