The title of this show is meant as an answer to the existential questions created by the coronavirus pandemic. Will life return to normal, and if so, when? Will it be a better normal, with more cooperation between countries? Or will despots use this health lockdown as a path to greater political lockdown? Two of Delhi’s storied art galleries—Nature Morte and Vadehra Art Gallery—have collaborated on this exhibition (that in itself is unusual). They bring together a wide array of India’s most prominent contemporary artists—Bharti Kher, Thukral & Tagra, Dhruvi Acharya to Anju Dodiya, Gigi Scaria, Jitish Kallat, and many more—all of them responding to a time like no other. —L.J.
The exhibition is available for online viewing at both gallery websites.
