We’re often told of Picasso’s outsized influence. Less often do we get to see it in one show. With works by 50 artists as well as paintings by the protean Picasso, this exhibition allows museumgoers to track the visual echoes for themselves. It’s divided into two sections. The first includes works by artists who spoke of Picasso’s influence, such as Francis Bacon, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Louise Bourgeois, Martin Kippenberger, Willem de Kooning, and Maria Lassnig. The second section is more contemporary, examining the inspiration that can be detected in the works of Claire Tabouret and Rashid Johnson. Depart a full-blown Picasso scholar. —Clara Molot
