Whimpering in the face of resurgent fascism and surging tides, we might just find the bang promised by this South London trio—drummer Maxwell Hallett, saxophonist Shabaka Hutchings, and electronics wizard Dan Leavers—a more bracing way to end the world. Irradiated by Sun Ra, Hendrix, and the Coltrane clan, this is a feel-good apocalypse.
