The Black Keys have always been a cool band with not only a cool sound but a cool image. The rock duo’s personas have developed adjacent to their sound, and we’ve watched them come into themselves as musicians and celebrities over the years. I’ve seen them live twice now and each time has been memorable. The first was at a music festival when I was in high school and the second was at Jones Beach Theater a couple years ago. Both performances were electric but the Jones Beach show stood out because of the setting on the water, the breeze washing over us. At a similar environment like Stone Pony Summer Stage, I’m guessing the audience will leave with lifelong memories of a real rock concert. —Henry McGrath
