How does race impact one’s relationship with space, whether it be personal, public, institutional, or psychic space? In this exhibition, artists such as David Adjaye, Theaster Gates, Lauren Halsey, and Titus Kaphar explore the question in a number of mediums. While seemingly loosely related, the works tell a similar story of injustice, and the steps towards gradual change. —E.C.
