It’s not every day a new gallery opens in the quaint Long Island town of Sag Harbor—a laidback neighbor to Bridgehampton and Sagaponack—let alone one that pairs 18th-century antiques with rare books and contemporary art. Lauren Shooster, a prominent creative director known for her work with brands like Totokaelo and Saint Laurent, has just launched Shooster Arts & Literature in a restored 19th-century ship chandlery. The collection contains more than 300 objects, and the debut exhibition includes pieces by Picasso, Jenny Holzer, and Vivian Maier, among others. —Elena Clavarino
