This is an instance where we wish art was reflecting a piece of fiction—a made-up horror story. But that would miss the point. “Russian War Crimes” puts us face to face with the truth. The Office of the President of Ukraine, the Victor Pinchuk Foundation, and the Ukrainian Institute of America have come together to present photographs and a video installation that document Russian atrocities in Ukraine. In the background, in audio clips from intercepted phone calls, visitors hear Russian soldiers boasting about the crimes they have committed.
