In 1997 Disney released Hercules, a delightful version of the classic myth featuring a naive superhero and a wise heroine. Now, a musical adaptation of the movie—one of a series that invites communities across New York to engage in participatory theater—features new songs by the film’s composer, Alan Menken, alongside the movie’s original score.
