Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, who died on April 9, 2021, at the age of 99, was the U.K.’s longest-serving consort. In his honor, this exhibition looks back on his life, beginning with his birth in Corfu, Greece, moving on to his military service, his marriage to the young Princess Elizabeth—a union that lasted over 70 years—and his many patronages and associations. One hundred and fifty objects from throughout the Duke’s life will be on display, and the exhibition also showcases gifts the working royal received on trips and official engagements. There’s a large grasshopper-shaped wine cooler from French President Pompidou, given in 1972, and a First Nations feather headdress, with HRH stitched across the front, from a visit to Canada. —B.A.
