Gambling isn’t always a grown-up’s game. In fact, this exhibition reminds viewers that children roll the economic dice too, not onto felted tables but onto the glossy cardboard of board games. Featuring 19th- and 20th-century toys—decades-old favorites like Monopoly, an early lesson in capitalism, alongside newer games like Class Struggle, a board game with a Marxist edge—the display looks at our earliest understanding of the material world. —C.J.F.
