Picasso died 50 years ago, in 1973, at age 91. In the twilight of his life, despite his age, the protean artist was still hard at work. Indeed, his late years were marked by relentless bursts of furious energy. Creativity—the generative energy that drives both art and sex—was one of Picasso’s fixations during this time. This exhibition consists of 10 late paintings, variations on the theme of the artist and model. —Elena Clavarino
