The Swiss artist Miriam Cahn has referred to her art as both “ovulation works” and “menstrual works.” In paintings, sketches, photos, and writings, her body—a body—is usually present. Political themes of female agency and autonomy lurk and float. For her first solo exhibition in Denmark, Cahn’s broad range of mediums include charcoal, pastels, and watercolors, as well as oil paintings, photographs, and text. —C.J.F.
