Mahler's Ninth for Four Hands

Mahler’s Ninth for Four Hands, presented by Death of Classical.

Aug 4–6, 2022
The Green-Wood Cemetery, 500 25th St, Brooklyn, NY 11232, United States

In the catacombs at the Green-Wood Cemetery, the pianists Stewart Goodyear and Jed Distler explore the mysteries of Mahler’s final completed symphony, which in its canonical form requires 100 musicians. Works out to five instrumentalists per finger, but there’s more to art than arithmetic. —Matthew Gurewitsch
