Lydia Davis and Hisham Matar

November 11, 2019
1395 Lexington Ave, New York, NY 10128, United States

Lydia Davis and Hisham Matar meet onstage at the Y to read from their latest works. While Davis is best known for her extremely short stories, this latest book, Essays One, is a collection of nonfiction written over five decades. Expect her trademark elegance and sharp wit. Matar, who won the 2017 Pulitzer Prize for his memoir, The Return, reads from his new book, A Month in Siena, a blend of memoir and criticism that considers the ways in which we are shaped by art. —C.J.F.
