LitFilm is back for its fifth year. For one week, Brooklyn Public Library will host free screenings of documentaries and films about literary figures, among them Loving Highsmith, a documentary about Patricia Highsmith, and Elizabeth Bishop and the Art of Losing, a documentary about the American poet. This year’s keynote conversation is led by director Betsy West, director of the 2021 documentary My Name is Pauli Murray. The week ends with a talk by Lizzie Gottlieb, the director of Turn Every Page, a loving look at her father, the book editor Robert Gottlieb, and his decades-long collaboration with Robert Caro. —Jensen Davis
